JMartans Automation Ltd is a Malta-based automation and control engineering company providing complete solutions for industrial, machinery and building applications.
Established in 2005, JMartans has grown from a small automation business into a multidisciplinary engineering company supporting customers in Malta and internationally.
Today, our capabilities bring together industrial automation, PLC and HMI programming, SCADA, building automation and BMS, control cabinet engineering, machinery safety, mechanical engineering, repairs, retrofits and technical support.
From initial engineering and system design through to programming, manufacture, integration and commissioning, our objective remains straightforward: to provide practical, reliable engineering solutions that work.
Our Story
JMartans’ story began in 2005, when the company was established as Advanced Automation and Controls Ltd (AAC), initially focusing on industrial automation and control engineering.
As the company’s capabilities and customer base expanded, the business evolved and was rebranded as JMartans in 2009.
Over the years, JMartans has continued to expand its engineering capabilities, technical team and international partnerships, eventually moving to Mosta Technopark, where our facilities allow us to engineer, build, program and test increasingly complex automation systems.
More than two decades after the company was established, we continue to develop around the same core principle: combining engineering knowledge with practical implementation to provide customers with dependable automation and control solutions.

JMartans Automation Ltd operates a Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001:2015, reflecting our commitment to consistent processes, quality management and continuous improvement. For an engineering company, quality goes beyond the components used in a project. It also involves how projects are planned, documented, engineered, reviewed and delivered. Our quality management system provides a structured framework for managing these activities and maintaining consistency across our operations. From automation projects and control cabinet manufacturing to building automation, technical support and engineering services, we aim to apply clear processes throughout the different stages of our work. Our ISO 9001:2015 certification also supports our commitment to continually reviewing and improving the way we work, helping us maintain the standards expected by customers operating in demanding industrial and regulated environments.

Continuous Investment in Technical Knowledge
Automation projects increasingly require expertise that extends beyond conventional electrical and software engineering. Areas such as machinery safety, functional safety and CE compliance require specialist knowledge and an understanding of applicable standards and engineering practices. JMartans continually invests in developing the technical competence of its engineering team. Relevant personnel hold specialist TÜV-certified qualifications including CMSE® – Certified Machinery Safety Expert, CEFS® – Certified Expert in Functional Safety, and CECE® – Certified Expert in CE Marking. This specialist knowledge supports our work in areas such as machinery risk assessment, safety-system design, functional safety, machine modifications and CE compliance, and complements our wider industrial automation capabilities.
